As we enter September, the iPhone 16 series and new processors, which are expected with great excitement and finally introduced, seem to remain on the agenda for a long time. With comparisons with Android phones and processors, the new A18 Pro enters challenging tests. In today’s game test, the results are quite surprising. Can Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 be stronger than the Apple A18 Pro processor? Here are the details…
A18 Pro showed lower FPS than Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, whose new model will be introduced in the coming weeks and introduced as last year’s flagship, was compared with Apple’s newly announced A18 Pro, the company’s most powerful mobile processor. The results from the comparison of Red Magic 9S Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max in the Genshin Impact game made users think again.
In tests on a YouTube channel, iPhone 16 Pro Max and last year’s Android flagship Red Magic 9S Pro were used. While the 16 Pro Max comes with the A18 Pro, the Magic 9S Pro uses a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. Before moving on to the results, it should be noted that an active cooling system is used on the Red Magic 9S Pro.
Powered by the A18 Pro processor, the 16 Pro Max offered 55.5 FPS in the Genshin Impact game, while the Android device with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor performed well with an average of 59.9 FPS. On the other hand, this rate decreased to 49.5 FPS on iPhone 16 Pro. While all this may be a problem with cooling, it is worth saying that the game runs more stable on Magic 9S Pro.
Also, when we look at the Xiaomi 14 Pro running with the same processor, these rates are quite different. The 14 Pro displayed an average of 38.9 FPS throughout the game. These results highlight the cooling system and game optimisation.
